Parents & Teachers Association

Our PTA: Parents & Teachers Working Together

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) plays a vital role in bringing our school community together. Made up of enthusiastic parents, carers and staff, the PTA works to support the school through fun events, fundraising and activities that benefit every child. Whether it’s organising school fairs, helping to fund new equipment, or simply creating opportunities for families to connect, the PTA helps make our school an even more vibrant and supportive place to learn. We warmly welcome all parents and carers to get involved — every idea, helping hand and fresh face makes a difference!

As a registered charity (Charity No. 1026341), our PTA is run by dedicated parent volunteers — and every parent and  carer automatically becomes a member when their child joins our school.

Together, we work to:

  • Raise funds that enrich learning and school life

  • Organise fun, inclusive community events

  • Strengthen the partnership between families, staff and pupils.

Every family has a vested interest in helping our school thrive, and the PTA provides a positive, welcoming way to get involved and make a difference.

Events & Fundraising

Each year, the PTA runs a wide range of events that bring joy to school life, including:

  • School discos
  • Christmas and Summer Fairs
  • Gift Rooms
  • Themed fundraising days and family events.

Every event helps to support pupils and enrich the whole school experience.

Second-Hand Uniform Shop
Our online second-hand uniform shop is a fantastic way to keep costs down and reuse good-quality items. You’ll also find Brownies, Guides and Scouts uniforms.
We welcome the following donations:

  • School uniform (including coats, shoes and trainers)
  • Christmas jumpers
  • Brownie, Guide and Scout uniforms.

Class Representatives

Each class has a PTA Class Representative who:

  • Shares updates about upcoming events
  • Passes on reminders and news
  • Invites parents/carers to join classes' WhatsApp/Messenger groups.

Make sure you know your 'Class Rep'; it’s the easiest way to stay connected.

Get Involved

Everyone — parents, carers and school staff — is automatically a member of the PTA. You can support in whatever way suits you:

  • Attend a meeting (held once per half-term, usually online via Teams, AGM each autumn)
  • Volunteer at events (30 minutes or a whole day — every bit helps!)
  • Donate items (books, raffle prizes, uniforms).

Does your employer offer matched funding?
This can double the amount raised at an event. Companies include Apple, Amazon UK, Barclays, BBC, Boots, BT, HSBC, John Lewis, Microsoft, Morrisons, NatWest, PwC, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Unilever, Vodafone and many more.

If your company runs a scheme, please let us know!
